ManageMyShaadi (“App”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a digital platform that allows wedding hosts to manage events and guests to view event details, share memories, and communicate with hosts. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices and rights you have. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the App. The categories include:
Hosts and guests provide: phone number (required), name, and language preferences.
Only host-approved phone numbers can register for a specific wedding.
Guests may log in on multiple devices if allowed by the host.
Hosts provide event details (e.g., event name, date and time, muhurat, location, theme, reminder preferences) and guest lists.
Guests provide RSVP responses and the number of attendees.
This data is used to manage event logistics.
Guests can contribute photos and messages for events.
Submitted photos are processed using AI tools to detect inappropriate or unrelated content and are reviewed by hosts before sharing.
Photos shared by hosts are stored on our servers.
Guests may privately record gifts/shagan given at events; this information is visible only to them.
We collect messages sent between hosts and guests within the App.
Hosts may send notifications, reminders, or updates (e.g., baraat location, venue status).
Guests can choose to disable reminders in settings.
We may collect log data including IP address, device name, operating system version, App configuration, date/time of use, and interactions with the App (e.g., features used) to diagnose errors and improve performance.
The App itself does not use cookies; however, integrated third-party services (e.g., analytics or crash-reporting tools) may use cookies or similar technologies.
Cookies can be disabled through device settings, but some features may not function properly.
We do not request sensitive personal data such as passwords, bank details, health records, or biometric data.
If hosts integrate payment processing (e.g., for gift registries), payment information will be handled by third-party payment gateways subject to their privacy policies.
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
Service Delivery: Create and manage wedding events, guest lists, and RSVPs; facilitate communication between hosts and guests; personalize the App; enable guests to contribute and view photos.
Improvement and Analytics: Monitor usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, conduct analytics, develop new features, and improve user experience.
Safety and Moderation: Detect and prevent inappropriate content (using AI-based image screening) and maintain secure communications.
Notifications: Send event reminders, updates, service announcements, or policy changes. Non-essential notifications can be disabled in App settings.
Legal and Compliance: Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including Section 43A of the IT Act and the DPDP Act, and enforce our Terms of Use. Investigate and prevent fraud or security incidents.
We rely on consent and legitimate interests to process personal data.
By registering and using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described.
Consent is free, specific, informed, and may be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawal may limit certain features.
Children under 18 should register only under the supervision and consent of a parent or guardian.
We respect confidentiality and share information only in the following situations:
Guest information (names, phone numbers, RSVP responses, photo submissions, messages) is shared with the host to manage invitations and events.
Trusted third-party vendors may access your information to provide hosting, analytics, AI moderation tools, messaging services, and technical support.
These providers are contractually obligated not to disclose or use information for other purposes.
If you opt to share photos or messages publicly within the event (e.g., group gallery), other guests may view this content.
We may disclose information to comply with law, legal process, or government request; enforce Terms of Use or this policy; protect rights, property, or safety of ManageMyShaadi, users, or the public; or as required under the DPDP Act.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
The acquirer must commit to this policy or notify you of changes.
Note: We do not sell personal data or share it for unsolicited marketing. Future marketing partnerships will require consent with opt-out options.
Under Indian law, you have the following rights:
Access: Request a summary of your personal data processed by us.
Correction: Request correction or update of inaccurate/incomplete data.
Erasure: Request deletion of your data when no longer necessary or when consent is withdrawn.
Revocation of Consent: Withdraw consent at any time.
Grievance Redressal: Submit grievances; a designated grievance officer will respond within 30 days.
Nomination: Nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.

Data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described.
RSVP data, event details, and photos are stored until the conclusion of the wedding and related activities.
Data will be deleted or anonymized when you delete your account or when no longer needed, subject to legal requirements.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including:
Encryption and secure storage at rest and in transit.
Access controls for authorized staff and hosts only.
Periodic vulnerability assessments and AI moderation for abusive content.
Data minimization: collect only necessary data and avoid sensitive personal data.
Third-party vetting for compliance with industry standards.
Note: No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Protect your login credentials and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
The App is intended for adult users involved in wedding planning.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.
If a child’s data is discovered, it will be deleted and the account may be disabled.
Some service providers may be located outside India.
Transfers will ensure equivalent data protection and comply with applicable laws.
Transfers occur only to provide services, fulfill legal obligations, or with user consent where required.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or business operations.
Material changes will be notified in the App and/or via SMS.
Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
